Today was quite a fine day. I had a good night sleep. I woke up at 12 in the morning. Then I worked on an extremely easy math worksheet. Then I had my lunch and watched an awesome movie. Then I went out with my friends. It was quite an easy non-working day that I had been waiting for. It has been a long time since I had a day like this. Although I can tell that it is going to be a very hard day tomorrow. I have a lot of work left to do and I am going to feel super pissed to do all those work. Although I know I have to do all this but I really hope the assignments are not extremely complicated.

Finally the weekend is here. As I mentioned earlier it has been quite a hard and tiring week. I am planning on working on some  assignments that are due next week but mainly take some rest. I really hope that next week goes well and easy (although I doubt it). I still have work to do for the social studies project. It is one of my priorities for this weekend. Anyway, the Thursday went quite well with an awesome movie and dinner with my friends. We watched a really good Indian movie after a long time. It was quite entertaining and funny at the same time. I think I should watch a good movie like this every Thursday to have a fun and relaxing weekend.

Today’s IT class was quite frustrating. We learned how to download games as flashes. It was so annoying to have none of the games work. I downloaded like 4 games but none of them worked.   I tried my best to download games but I completely failed at it. I will try some other site and other games. Hopefully they are going to work. Other than that the day went quite well. We worked on our social studies project. I am really looking forward for the weekend. It has been a really tiring week with a lot of assignments and quizzes. Hopefully the coming week is going to be a less tiring with a little less work load.

Today in IT class we worked on Google Groups and adding it in our iGoogle. We also get the new social studies project. It is also going to involve a lot of technology knowledge. The project is to create a newspaper or a newsletter on ancient Egypt. I am planning on using Microsoft Publisher to create my newspaper. It is actually a group project. My other group members are Ike, Adam and Marwan. I am planning making a newspaper with some of the most important events of ancient Egypt and also relate some modern ideas with ancient Egypt. I think it is going to be a fun project with a lot of group work and idea sharing. Creating the newspaper is going to be something new for me try in Publisher and I think it is going to be quite a nice experience.

I finally fixed my Google Calendar with Mr. C's idea. It was just the problem with my browser that didn't let me see the events. I even shared my calendar with Ali and discovered some new "Gadgets" as they as in iGoogle terminology. This year is going quite well so far with some good grades, cool assignments and fortunately with no bad events. We are doing some cool IT assignments that it is actually new and modern things. It is not boring at all. I think it would be a much better class if we have new computers that are faster and work better. I also understand most of the things that are being taught in ninth grade. I was extremely terrified to get into high school but now I realize that it is actually not as bad as I thought.

Today in IT class we did iGoogle. It was quite a review for couple of the ninth graders. We did an assignment like this a couple of years ago with the former lower school IT teacher Mrs. Mona. Although at that time we didn’t do as many things as we did this year with Mr. Christie. This year with Mr. Christie we did many more things and we also learned a lot. This was quite interesting because by using sites like this we can look at many things at a time and also edit things. I added my e-mail and also my Google Reader. I am having quite a hard time to have my Google Calendar to show but I believe I can do it soon. I am really looking forward to add some more things so that I don’t have to visit different sites to check things. Sites like this are very helpful and I think Google or some other company should launch a site where we get to decide what we want to add from any site.

We had an awesome performance in Language arts today. It was actually an assignment. The assignment was to create a skit on either situational or dramatic irony. We worked in groups of four or five. My group members were Karim, Adam Temraz and Adam Aziz. We did a skit on situational irony. We had a group of pirate (Karim and Adam Temraz) and another group of peoople in the island (me and Adam Aziz). As soon as the pirates came, me and Adam Aziz (the group of people waiting on
the island) captures them and interrogates them. Then we find out what their motive was and the reason they came here. They told us they were here for the treasure that was hidden in the island from a long time. We looked for the treasure and found the treasure out. After we found it out, Adam Temraz and Karim ran away with the treasure. As they left we looked at the treasure and found out that it was actually gold painted chocolate. It was quite an entertaining and funny act. Most people enjoyed and had a great time. It felt great performing after a long time and I look forward to some more performance.

Today was a great IT class. Today what we did in IT was only what I had dreamt about before. I actually read articles about the latest things that are going on in the world today. It felt amazing to see how technology and science is improving in the 21st century. I worked toward finishing my IT assignment. For the assignment in IT this week we have to read 3 articles from 3 different sites and write summaries on them. We also have to write 3 blog posts. I am working to finish my assignment and hopefully I can have everything done before the deadline.

I am done with all the work. First I did the first writing assignment of this year. It was quite great and also challenging at the same time. I forgot most of the rules of writing from last year. It took me a long time to remember the rules and do the writing. We had to write a story or a paragraph on an inkblot. It was quite cool. I imagined crazy stuff but it was fun. After this assignment I drew images for my output. They looked awful but that was the best I could do. It was day full work just like the other days since school began.

I am done with the first project of this year. It was quite a cool project. It was for IT where we had to find new computers that the school is going to buy in the future. We were limited to the option of desktops only. We looked at many different US companies and tried to find the best computer possible with $1000. It was quiet entertaining and educational at the same time. I learned about things that I had never even heard of. I chose a HP desktop. It was quiet entertaining and I hope to do more interesting projects in the future.
