The new thing that Mr. C told us was really a good thing to hear. He said that we only have to do six things out of those nine things. This means that I only need to do 5 more. I am really planning on doing the right assignment for the right topic. This is probably like the hardest part of the whole project because it is a really hard thing to decide and since we can’t do a topic once again, you really have to think about what topic to choose and for what assignment. This is the hardest project ever and I am happy that we are doing a project that is this vague because we won’t have constructive instruction for every project we do.

We have a long weekend next week that is not really long. We just have Sunday off which isn’t enough. Also this is like the only off day we have in this month which is my opinion is really less. I think the school should focus on giving us some more off days each month. As of now I don’t really have any specific plans for the weekend. I am planning on going to the beach and stuff but it is not certain. Whenever I don’t have any plans for weekends I end up doing much more fun things. So I am hoping that this is going to be one of those weekends.

This week is sort of an easy week. I have only 1 quiz and 1 test. I don’t have a lot of work. This is a really nice thing because last week I had a lot of work. I had to work all last weekend in order to get my projects done. This weekend was just opposite. I didn’t work a whole lot. We also had the prom this weekend. I didn’t go because I didn’t really feel like dancing and there wasn’t really anything else to do other than that. I talked with some of my friends who went and they were like it was ok-ish. So I don’t really think I missed a whole lot. I was planning on going to the beach this Saturday but it was too hot so that plan changed as well. So I ended up watching movies and shows all weekend. We have the elections soon as well so I am scared about that as well. I don’t think we should have school on those days because it might be dangerous.

The events in Cairo were quiet scary. Mubarak supporters attacked anti-Mubarak supporters and eleven people died. Out of those eleven people there was a soldier as well. I actually expected something like this to happen. I thought it would be much bigger and make the situation more chaotic. There is still some time for some more chaos and i am quiet sure that something like that would happen. I am actually quiet excited to see how the elections go. I am sure that all the citizens of Egypt are extremely excited to see how it goes. This is going to be extremely crucial for the future of Egypt and all of its citizens. I am actually a little scared of the elections. It is mainly because looking at how people have reacted to having candidates from the groups that they don’t want to have as the ruling party. So it is going to be exciting to see the events pre-election and also post- election.

The new project that we started in IT is extremely hard and long. We have to make 9 projects for one big project. It is a huge project. It is called digital citizenship. It consists of 9 different topics and we have to display the topics using 9 different tools that we have used this yet. It is a very hard project. It is hard mainly because of how vague and broad the whole thing is. For each of the 9 topics the project can be led to any direction. There is no perfect outline on how to do each of the projects. This is extremely hard for me because I work very comfortably with concrete information. It is one of my weaknesses and i am working on it.  I am very nervous about the project. I have talked to many other people and they are confused as well. I am doing my best and i am sure that my hard work will pay off.

This week we have a lot of assignments due. I had a project due today and an essay. I also had a quiz today in French. I have a lot of assignments due almost every day. We also started a project in IT which is extremely hard. I think it is the hardest and the longest project I have ever done. It is quite a different project and I am really excited with how this project goes. I also have a test next week in science. There is an also long assignment in science as well. I am very nervous about how my performance is going in science. I don’t know why but I am having some difficulty to understand some of the things. I think it might be just normal because biology is a very big and hard idea. I have talked to some of the AP Biology students and they said it is even harder. One of the classes I was planning on taking AP Bio in 11th grade but now I am thinking about what to do. There are only a couple of weeks left. I am excited to see how this whole thing goes.

This was probably the best sports day I ever had in Schutz. When I first saw my team I wasn’t extremely excited but on the day of the sports day is was extremely excited and happy that I was with this team. We had a great time with our captain Nehal. Even though we didn’t win in the sports day, the time we had was great. I was simply astonished by how much our team worked in each station and with the effort they were all putting in. Even the small kids did their best and tried to do all that they can. It was great feeling working with the little kids and trying to get them to work together. I wish every sports day is like this.

SMS 2 911
Verzion took the initiative this week and announced its own plans to allow text messages to be sent to 911 for its customers. Working with TeleCommunication Systems, sending of messages to emergency call-centers is going to be available as early 2013. Texting isn't just about adding communication options.  It is also a valuable tool to the deaf, hard of hearing and situations where talking is dangerous, or not possible. The service will use existing CDMA and SMS networks, and therefore should be available to all customers once finally rolled out.

Finally the weekend is here. Although this weekend is probably going to be the worst weekend I am ever going to have in my life. I have 3 projects and 1 test due next week, most of it I have to finish in the weekend because I don’t really get a lot of time during the week. We also have sports day tomorrow. This is an advantage because I don’t have to worry about doing my homework in the weekend. I can probably finish it all today and focus mostly on the projects in the weekend. Now it really feels that the year is coming to an end. Everyone is assigning quiet a good amount of work. I think this is normal and I sort of expected it to happen since us now in high school and the expectations should be quiet high like this. 

The new software that we got introduced is called OneNote. It is amazing. What we are doing now focuses mainly on re-coping notes. Although in the future I am thinking about using it for my classes. I knew about software like this before but this is the first time I am using it. So far I am extremely pleased with it. This is going to save some of time during the final because I type some things that I am just typing now. If I was introduced to this before then I could have used it more and get more assignments done but better late than never. So everyone who used this knows how good it is and all the people who didn’t yet please go ahead and use it. I am sure you will like it.
