I had a science test today. I was very nervous for it. It was supposed to be last week but we requested Ms. Lianne to move it. It was on evolution and looked like a pretty hard chapter. The most confusing things about this chapter were the history part. I am quiet bad in history. I always get confused with all the different people and what they did. Sometimes I just sit and wonder how I manage to pass my history class and at the end the conclusion always turns out that I might just have something in my brain that captures all the history material for 24 hours and the it just deletes everything. So anyhow the test pretty well. It was better than I expected. We probably won’t get our grades anytime soon because it was a long test and some people still need to take it. I just hope I got a good grade and the first test of the last quarter went well and just how I wanted it to go.
This is the new thing we are learning in IT starting this week. It is an online thing called Prezi. It works sort of like Microsoft PowerPoint but this is way cooler and interesting. I haven’t had a chance too look at the whole thing. I have seen many Prezi presentations before but I have never made one of my own. This seems like an extremely interesting thing. We have to create sort of a presentation using Prezi. That is the assignment we have for this week but it is due next week. I am planning on working a bit more with the thing before actually starting the actual project. Working like that really helps as you have an idea about what to do and how to work with the tool that you are working with.
This is the last break we have for this year. Now we have about 40 school days left. I did a little bit of work to prepare myself for the fourth quarter. Now I am all ready to fight the rest of the school days that are left. I was planning on going somewhere this break but then I changed my mind looking at how bad the weather was. It was extremely hot so I didn’t feel going anywhere. So I just spent my mornings at home and evenings somewhere in Alex other than my home. It was not really a boring break. I did quiet a lot of crazy things in the break. This even included going through my door because for some reason I couldn’t see it. Now I am already to work hard and accomplish all the goals that I have set for myself in this quarter. I really hope I accomplish all of those.
LG Viper 4G
The new LG Viper 4G is available for pre-order from Sprint. It is expected that it will release in April 22nd. For being one of Sprint's initial LTE slabs, the Viper has a $99 price tag. It comes with the 2 year deal and all the other various things. It seems to be a good phone. It is obviously an Android GingerBread phone. It also has the latest 4G technology. So all the people up for new phone these is quiet a latest and updated phone. This week is a short week and the project we are doing for this week is creating a bad PowerPoint presentation. This project might look easy but it is actually not. By working on this people can realize what are some of the things that make a PowerPoint presentation bad and annoying. This project for me is a bit hard cause over time i understood what the things that I shouldn’t be doing are. I am trying to remember those things and making a presentation on it. This project doesn’t have to be a long project. It has to be max 2 minutes long. That means that it doesn’t have to have a lot slides. That is a good thing because i am really running out of ideas on what to write in the slides. Also this is the first time we are going to be presenting something in IT class. I have done a lot of presentations before but this is the first time i have to present something bad in a good way. This is a little different for me and i really hope i do a good job in it.
Also I really want to prepare really well for tests and quizzes. Last quarter I also slacked off me preparing for test and quizzes. That really hurt my grade and it was quiet difficult for me to get those valuable points back. Also since we have the finals this quarter I really want to do well in them. My last semester finals were not that satisfying and I really want to get those final scores higher. Other than that there isn’t a whole lot for me to work in. I think if I work really well in these areas then my grades will be in a place that I want them to be in. also I think that is going to help me skip some of the finals which I didn’t get to do last semester. So hopefully this semester won’t turn out to be as bad as the last semester.
Today was the first day after spring break. I had a nice relaxing break. I slept a lot and worked little (almost no). I didn’t travel because I was too bored to. I attended quiet a lot of parties. Most of them were extremely boring but I had to attend them. I actually knew they were going to be boring because I have been attending those for the last couple of years. It was a satisfying break after a long time. I really wish to have breaks like this a bit more often. This was really needed because we are at the end of the year. We really need to relax and be focused in the work that we do. We are also going to have finals at the end of the quarter which is really important. Also the ninth graders really to be focused because this is going to be the second time that they take finals. The last time they took they really had a hard time and they were extremely stressed out. So I really wish that they spread their work out in order to be not stressed out.
Finally the end of the quarter is here. This is the worst quarter I ever had this year. It is probably the longest one as well. I have not worked as much as I did in the last couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to the spring break. This is going to be a relaxing one hopefully. I don’t really have plans yet. The only this I am looking forward to is taking some rest. I have to prepare myself for the last quarter of my first year in high school. This year was a really great year with a lot of learning with some of the most amazing teachers that I have worked with in my entire school career.
The letter assignment we did this week was quiet an interesting assignment. It was very hard to write something that made sense to the parents and it was logical. Writing letters to someone older than you is very hard because you have to be very careful with the words you choose. They look very carefully at what kind of words you put in the letter. I am very happy that I got the opportunity to do an assignment like this. Assignments like this teach how to do something that we are going to use in our future as well. I think we should do these kind of assignment more often because doing these kind of assignment teach us something in a fun and entertaining manner.
Playing games for two weeks has got my game addiction back. I am very addicted to some of the lamest games ever but they seem to be entertaining for a while. I am going to play games over the spring break as part of my resting program. Mr. C showed me a game called League of Legends. I haven’t tried it yet. I am planning on playing it over the break as well. I am really excited because the name is really catchy and whenever a name is catchy the game actually turn out to be good. So I hope the same thing happens with this game as well and I enjoy playing this as much as I did playing some of the other games.
